Margaret Milnes

(1908-1998)

She studied Fine Art in London at Regent Street Polytechnic where she gained a drawing prize. In the 1940s she became an illustrator of magazines & children's books before moving on to portraiture & lively watercolours of places far & wide. Also well known as the founder of the Ditchling gallery in 1959 where her work was shown as well as in the Royal Academy & many other exhibitions.
