About Ditchling Gallery

The Ditchling Gallery specialises in drawings, watercolours, & oil-paintings by Sussex artists depicting the traditional English landscape as well as Scotland & Wales...

It is situated in a small village near Brighton in Southern England, well known for its association with Eric Gill, the calligrapher, engraver, stone carver & sculptor (of the English Arts & Crafts Movement of the 1920's).

Other famous artists have lived there, including Sir Frank Brangwyn (1867-1956), Charles Knight R.W.S. (1901-1990), & Edgar Holloway R.E., all of whose pictures are to be seen at the gallery. Work by Ethel Rawlins, Margaret Milnes and her two daughters, Ann Raby and Jennifer Milnes Mathur, together with Sir Hugh Casson P.P.R.A., is also available.

Here is a wide range of art in the tradition of fine draughtsmanship & figurative painting, together with giclee prints of sone of the paintings.
